Over the past four years Naming Gallery has celebrated and nurtured young Bay Area artists and highlighted marginalized voices. Our benefit shows have raised funds for organizations such as Cat Town Cafe Animal Adoption Center, and paid for legal fees for five undocumented family members. Our free public programming has included “OG Beat Meets”, a beat-making workshop series for young adults; “Super Chillness Activity Zone”, kid-centered arts and crafts with professional artists; and “SEEDS: They tried to bury us, they did not know we were seeds”, a group art show featuring 7 Oakland POCs and a community altar dedicated to the victims of the Ghostship Fire. Naming Gallery's internship program provides guidance to students interested in pursuing careers in the arts. Naming Gallery is dedicated to providing free public programming to the Oakland community each month. Support local art today!
